Have you ever wondered how robots work? Would you like to earn your robotics badges and participate in fun and exciting STEM activities?  Join RoboCon NJ for a fun-filled robotics workshop geared directly for Girl Scouts (Brownies through Ambassador ) and Boy Scouts (Robotics Merit Badge), plus a ton of exciting STEM activities that will be sure to excite your scouts.

High School Robotics Team members will lead your exploration of:

• Robots in the real world

• How to build a robot - learn what it takes to build a real life robot that’s ready for competition

• Robotics Teams - guided tour - from robot pits to elementary, middle and high school robotics teams, learn how to get involved

• Robotics Competitions  - view live robotics matches at center court and experience the excitement of robotics competitions

• Design A Robot - Can you design a robot to make the world a better place?

• Build A Robot - younger students (Brownies & Juniors) create a take-home brush bot, while older students (Cadets and Boy Scouts) learn the ins and outs of the micro:bit move2

The workshop will begin on the second level of the mall next to Vans.  There will not be a food break, but beverages are permitted.  Please plan to eat before or after the workshop.  At least one adult must remain with the troop at all times.

Troops should plan to arrive 15 minutes before the start of their session to get checked in. 

All programs are offered in all time slots.  Please select up to two preferred time slots in the registration form.

Registration and Payment

This is a three hour session, and students must remain with the group for the entire program to fulfill the badge requirements.  Upon registering you may select up to two preferred time slots.  Slots will be confirmed on a first come, first serve basis.  PHYSICAL BADGES ARE NOT INCLUDED

Brownies & Juniors = $10 per child for the Robotics Journey (Earn 3 Badges)

Cadets & Above  = $15 per child for the Robotics Journey (Earn 3 Badges)

Boy Scouts 6th Grade & Above = $15 per child for the Robotics Merit Badge

Please register the troop together, with an adult name as the contact.

Credit Card payment is preferred by following this PayPal link or QR Code.

If you are unable to pay via credit card at the above, please email us at event@roboconnj.org if you need to make alternate payment arrangements.  Upon form submission, an invoice will be automatically generated and emailed to the address provided.
